Mechanic

Job Description:

Routine maintenance and repairs on all company vehicles and equipment, including gasoline and diesel powered engines, electrical and mechanical components, and other heavy equipment supplied by the Fleet Department; maintains generators for emergency backup power to outside and inside plant and outside facilities; maintains records for ensuring routine maintenance is performed on emergency backup equipment; cleans and prepares work associated with all types of vehicles; cleans minor hazardous spills; performs other duties when needed to assist in the operations of the department.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience in automotive repairs and with hydraulic systems; ability to work on diesel and gas engines, general knowledge in mechanic maintenance and repair; knowledge in the safe removal of hazardous spills; must be safety conscientious; certification in automotive mechanics or comparable experience; accuracy in record keeping and keeps an organized work area.
